RC2: first comments + bug

Memory usage is lower then RC1 (about 400-420 MB).
Faster, more responsible.

But now I have a problem. With RC1 my Apple Cinema Display 20'' was
automaticly set on 1680x1050 (native resolution) after installation. With
RC2 the resolution is automaticly set on 1024 and cannot be set highter then
1600x1024.
I installed the Monitor drivers and Ati RC1 drivers (Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB),
but that didn't help.

RE: RC2: first comments + bug

Bug with my monitor too - RC1 was fine with my resolution but RC is not
letting me set the correct resolution for my widescreen. I have the same
monitor for my XP computer and have it set up correctly but installed RC2
today and don't have the option to set as it should be. I do have 2 refresh
rates now which I didn't have before but am trying to find out why I can't
set my resolution

I have Nvidia card and had the Nvidia icon in control panel after I
installed RC1 but it's not there now Nvidia GeForce 7900 GTX 512 but only
using the driver with Vista as they didn't have a compatible one pre RC
anything.

Agree there are some nice changes but graphics and audio are still

RE: RC2: first comments + bug

I have just installed RC1 again and have my correct resolution without even
having to set it.

Re: RC2: first comments + bug

I fixed it. RC1 have set my secundaire apple screen to primaire and disabled
the vga monitor. Wat RC2 has done was enabling all 2 monitors and cloned the
screen of the vga screen to the apple screen. Als the vga is a 4:3 screen,
so I could'n select a widescreen resolution. By using ATi's control center I
disabled my vga and it all works now

Re: RC2: first comments + bug

My problem would be that I don't have an Nvidia control centre after loading
RC2 no matter what I tried to do my resolution would not configure at all.
My XP side is perfect and as soon as RC1 was loaded my screen was set to the
correct resolution again - I don't know why RC2 changed this for me plus
without actual Nvidia drivers for my card I can't do anything. One monitor as
my other one is on a completely different computer. I will have to see if I
can install RC2 again without some of the bugs which I didn't have with RC1.

Good you have fixed yours
