Nic Cards

I can't seem to find a Vista driver for my Intel-based Nic card. It is model
number 668081-005. I've tried the usual routes - Device manager, hitting the
web etc. No luck for Vista. Is there a web site I can go to for a quick
download. I have other machines that can get to the web.

I also tried Microsoft's site that just directed me to downoad a tool
instead of giving me an HCL that I can check for a card that might work.

Re: Nic Cards

Most of the generic nic drivers are in Vista but if not then you'll need to
see if the manufacturer has Vista drivers available.

Re: Nic Cards

I tried the manufacturer's site before I posted looking for help. This card
is a bit older than some, but as I said it was auto recognized in XP and the
XP drivers loaded automatically. The manufacturer did not have any XP drivers
posted, let alone ones for Vista.

I realize that this is a beta but I was hoping there was a place I could go
to download drivers without having to move the card to an XP machine, have it
auto configure and grab those drivers and move them to my Vista test machine.
That's a fair amount of trouble for something that should be automatic to
start with.

Re: Nic Cards

The nice thing about NIC based cards is that they are very cheap. Simply
pickup a standard nic that Vista supports.
