| | Dell 3007WFP and nVidia 7950GX2 I just installed these two new pieces of hardware. I was under the impression the Vista drivers for 7950GX2 didn't support SLI. Maybe I misunderstand what SLI is all about but I was prepared for not being able to get the full 2560 x 1600 resolution. Was under the impression this was only possible if Vista could see both GPUs and that required SLI. At any rate I'm glad it works - and to top it off - no graphics corruption so far ... (crossing fingers) ... which amazes me as my Quadro FX3400 had problems. Maybe the corruption has to do with shared RAM to supplement the vid RAM. With the Quadro it had 256 but Vista was stealing another 256 from system RAM. The 7950 has 1 GB RAM and Vista it's taking any from the system. |
