I have a cd that worked with xp, but wont work with vista, it says the OS is
not supported, does anyone know where I can get 1?

I just received my copy of Vista Business and it has only supported vga
and ethernet from the P5L-MX. Funny thing here. I went to device
manager and nothing will appear with an exclamation point, even though
I have not installed the audio. So the one route i took was to
control panel> add remove hardware > choose from list > have disk > and
point it to the asus cd > drivers> vga > find the driver inf. WARNING.
do not do this.
I allowed windows to now install my driver from disk and BLUE SCREEN! I
received my first Windows Vista Blue Screen within 20 mins of install.

Only suggestion i can make would be to grab a video card from creative
that has vista support. Because Asus tech support is garbage and will
not be able to produce a Vista driver for the P5L-MX audio.

Built new PC this weekend with Asus p5l-mx mobo running Vista Business.
no sound, yet no indication of driver issues. No ! in Device manager,
for example. Asus site is getting hammered this weekend, but no vista
sound drivers anyway.I heard raves about Asus, but their web site
sucks! Uninstalled/reinstalled. Turned off in bios/back on no luck.
Threw in the towel and went to CCity and bought a nice sound blaster
pci card. Works fine. Just $30. Oh well.

and probably a few other asus boards. worth a shot.

the drivers work like a charm. what i did was find the manufacturer of
the onboard sound and then found more current drivers for them. they
work perfectly.
