| vista x64 | Creating Partition in vista Recently, i tried to create a new partition on my HDD by using vista's computer management program, but when i select my current partition, and choose to "shrink volume", my computer freezes. I tried to shrink the volume by 30GB, and i left the computer on, thinking it might just take some time, but nothing happened after over 30 minutes. So..my question is: is there an alternative to vista's built in disk management tool to making a new partition? Vista tells me that there is ~40GB of space that i can shrink the current volume by, but i guess the tool is broken. P.S. unless it is an easy fix, i dont really feel like dealing with the problem of the built in partition creator right now, i would rather just use a different program. |
