Vista RTM and ASRock DUAL 939 SATA2

Hi, i've just installed vista with upon this motherboard.

2 problems:

1) agp driver are not correct and don't permit to install ati catalyst
driver. To solve the problem i downloaded agp driver for vista of the asrock
motherboard DUAL 939 VSTA directly from the ASrock site. Now works great
even with games.

2) Network problem: i use to connect to internet the embended LAN port of
the motherboard, recognized from windows as ULI PCI Fast Ethernet
Controller. I give to the adapter a static IP, but the time windows takes to
connect me to the internet goes from 1 to 10 minutes. Annoying. As anyone
experienced this second kind of problem? Should we wait for ASrock Vista
driver?

Bye

d'oh!! Ok, this is a solution, but i think i'll wait for official Asrock
driver before considering the idea of buying a new LAN board.... even if
they are the cheapest peaces of hardware in the market.... ;P

Thanks for your information

More bad news.......that chipset company was bought by Nvidea so dont expect
a new drivers anytime soon.
They haven't updated since March 2006...................they have other
priorities like their own chipsets.

So should we expect nVidia will release drivers for this motherboard or all
the custumers will have no more support for the new OS?

You would need to ask nVidia to give you a definitive answer, since no one
here can.

Re: Vista RTM and ASRock DUAL 939 SATA2

I am just pointing out that it is a lot quicker to buy a $20.00 NIC card
than waiting for new Drivers from Nvidea.
Everything else works fine with the old drivers on this board and I am
running Vista RC2 build 5744 64 Bit.
When I ran 32bit the Build in Lan did not work either.
This ULI chipset is old and has been replaced by newer versions and as such
I would expect Vista to be more atune to the newer version than the
old..............
