| | A higher resolution? When I was in Windows XP, I ran my resolution at 1600x1200 on a 19 inch monitor. To my dimay, I found that Windows Vista has locked me out this option. And this option, I really liked. How can I unlock this, so I can get back to the size I am used to? I have updated all my drivers, for both my monitor and my video card, but it doesnt let me use the full capacity of my hardware. Can I get this resolution back? Is there a registry setting to adjust? Is there a program out there that will let me get back to 'normal'? Or should I switch back to Windows XP (though I prefer not to)? Thanks for your help, M |

| | Re: A higher resolution? Since you do not say what release of Vista your are using with what interfcac or what your video card is or what drivers you are using for it it is almost impossible to give you and advice. It is like saying my new car does not get doot gas milege what do I do without providing any details. Vista only works up to a shoe size of 9 1/2 D. Sizes of up to 14 EEE are planned in future updates. As with ATI drivers, we'll just have to wait for the new releases. Tom Lake |

| | RE: A higher resolution? Regarding this, how do I get past this? Getting the best display on your monitor http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Win...74a261033.mspx It is not a driver or hardware issue. It is Microsoft telling me what is best. But isnt what I want whats best for me? Thanks again, M |
