Vista update

When the evaluation copy is near termination, will it be possible to
upgrade to Vista Ultimate, I was running XP Pro, prior to evaluation
copy.

In other words, is it possible to save all your files etc. without a
reinstall

Re: Vista update

Yes, but you would need to do so with the full version and not an upgrade.

Generally it is best to perform a Clean Installation so as to remove all
traces of the Beta code, and upgrade may not do this.

Re: Vista update

Since even an upgrade clean installs the OS, the old lingering OS code
problem we had with earlier editions of Windows should not be a factor.
However, since the poster needs a full edition anyway, I concur that he
should use WET to save his files and settings and completely redo the
machine. It's faster to clean install and then reapply the files, settings,
and reinstall the apps than do an upgrade anyway. Upgrades take ungodly
long times.
