Microsoft Fingerprint Reader and Vista

Has anyone else noticed that after installing the Microsoft Fingerprint
Reader with Vista (RTM) and the Vista drivers (DigitalPersona 2.0) that
Internet Explorer crashes most times when you try an close it?

I love the fingerprint reader and badly want to use it with Vista, but this
is very annoying..

Yes I noticed that too, It only crashes after having logged on to a website
using the fingerprint reader, it doesnt bother me as much tho, I just click
cancel when windows explorer tries to restart IE.

Re: Microsoft Fingerprint Reader and Vista

Why not try the latest driver delivered last January end?

Re: Microsoft Fingerprint Reader and Vista

same problem. IE7 restarts itself automatically after I close it. I can see
a worm attack working through this fault.

Other problem is that the task bar goes wonky once in a while. Can't use it
at all, and have to shut down doing a hard reboot. This is a major flaw. Not
sure what the problem is yet.
