Re: Aero will not function

I just went to the Link you posted and page 4 discussed the 945 chipset not
the 915 chipset I guess they corrected it.
Here is a link to 915 information at the Intel site.

Re: Aero will not function

yup, right, my mistake.

so in my dell inspiron 640m which i bought recently, i see Mobile Intel(R)
945GM/GU Express chipset family.

I have pentium dual core with 2gb ram. Do you think it will work well with
AERO and glass? It got windows vista home basic OEM so never got chance to
use AERO with it.

Re: Aero will not function

Aero does not run on Vista Home Basic, only on Home Premium or Ultimate.
And it runs easily with 1GB and 1 Core.

Re: Aero will not function

I don't know about the Mobile version but I have absolutely no problem
running Aero with the standard MOBO 945 chipset with the Max memory
allocation set to 128MB,1 GB of main memory and a Intel HT CPU.
Hopefully someone who has your exact chipset will respond, if not. start a
new thread with the chipset added to the subject line which should help
finding a user with the same chipset to respond.
