Vista - Installing HP Photosmart 3310

Attempting to do the above install on PC, HP Pavilion, running Vista
evaluation get "Access denied to Registry" message.

I know there is a an "HP Tool (AccessDeniedUtility_1_3_4.exe" for the
same problem on XP systems, will this work on Vista, or do I have to
wait ? Is there an alternative solution ? It is not to do with
Administrator access..

Has anyone been able to install HP Photosmart 3310? If so please post,
once I get this going I can completely switch over to Vista

I have not been able to resolve this issue as well and according to HP technical the Vista driver is being developed. In the interim basic functionality is available with the built in Vista drivers, bu only if the unit is connected via USB. No network support until updated driver is released by HP

I have installed 3310xi on my Vista Ultimate x64 machine. Wireless connection. I also use it w/ my XP Pro laptop. I have the 2-sided (duplex) accessory installed and the only problem I have is when I print from the Vista machine pages flip at the top. Find 3300 series drivers here:

HP's solution to my duplexing problem seems to be to install deskjet 6500 driver. When I do that I lose my scanner. Can anyone help w/ that?

try scanning from within the control panel. It may not let you but it's
worth a try. There's a scanners icon there that you can open. See what
options it presents.
