Memory Card reader

Hardware: Acer Travelmate 8003 WLMi
All types of memory cards always show up as locked even though the lock tab
on the actual memory card is set ot unlocked.

Are you saying that you cannot WRITE to the cards?

If so, does your "reader" support writing as well? Many do not.

Re: Memory Card reader

Yes. I card read from and write to all memory cards when I was running
Windows XP Pro. This issue only surcfaced when I upgraded to Windows Vista
Ultimate RC1.

That may hint that the card's driver is not Vista compatible. I see
similar behavior here with a reader that does the job in XP only -
though in Vista it is not recognized at all. Contact the manufacturer.
