I have a generic card reader in my computer. It's unbranded, but supports all
of the major card types out there. In XP, this worked without any extra
drivers or anything like that, it just...worked! But in vista, it doesn't
appear at all. There should be 4 extra drives in my computer, but there's
none. What's more, nothing appears in the device manager as requiring drivers
or anything, but the card reader drives just aren't there.
I enabled the removable storage manger but this has made no difference.
Anyone know what's wrong?

Contact the card reader manufacturer about Vista compatibility.
If the reader came with the computer contact the computer manufacturer.
