| | New problems with WMDC B3..... OK. Maybe this problem runs a little deeper. I have a HTC Hermes device (Dopod 838pro) which has been synchronizing fine with WMDC B3 on Vista RTM x64 since November when I set it up. However, the stability has worsen recently and now it refuses to show up when attached via USB to my Vista machine. I know the connections are fine because I still see the Windows Mobile Remote Adapter in Vista's device manager and the Window Mobile Network via Network connections. I can even ping the WM5 device in cmd on the Vista x64 machine. However, the device does not show up in My Computer and WMDC does not see it anymore. Any solution? Luckily the device has direct push from my Exchange server so I can see sync but it is a PITA not being able to sync via usb with the computer........ Many thanks for any idea.. |

| | Re: New problems with WMDC B3..... I had the same problem. Upgrading WMDC to RTM does not help. I had to hard reset the Hermes and reinstall everything. I think it could be due to the fact that I didn't wipe the device when moving from XP AS4.5b2 to WMDC B3....... But after I wipe the device (ie hard reset), reinstalled everything and re-paired with WMDC RTM, everything works fine..... But since then, I moved to Atom life......
