Screen Resolution on Inspiron 8600 w/ ATI Redeon 9600 display adap

When I go in to the display settings it will not allow me to change the
screen resolution from the current setting of 1900 X 1200 which is way too
small for my laptop screen. The display settings says its a Generic PnP
Monitor on ATI Mobilit radeon 9600/9700 Series. I even downloaded the latest
driver and it had no affect.

Any ideas?

RE: Screen Resolution on Inspiron 8600 w/ ATI Redeon 9600 display adap

I installed the drivers that came with the beta release and my screen is at
its native 1280x800 resolution. It won't let me change it either up or down.
