| | Disk Management > "Connecting to Virtual Disk Service" I'm in the Computer Management console trying to start the Disk Management snap-in so I can format a new hard drive. Computer Management > Storage > Disk Management. All I get is "Connecting to Virtual Disk Service ... " in the status line. Under Services, the Virtual Disk Service is Started (Automatic) and the services it's dependent on are also started. I can see the new disk in Device Manager, and a pop-says Windows has installed the disk and it's ready to use. If I remove the disk I still cannot get Disk Management to start. |

| | Re: Disk Management > "Connecting to Virtual Disk Service" Hi I have exactly the same problem, I have tried setting the service to Manual, and starting it up, I have tried resetting it, and also leaving it on Automatic. However the Disk Management still shows up as "Unable to connect to Virtual Disk Service" Any ideas? Anyone solved it? Cheers guys/girls -- twisted dirty logic Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com |
