| | Re: Keyboard and mouse does not work. Use a PS2 mouse & keyboard to boot all the way into windows and plug in the USB wireless keyboard/mouse. Hit connect, and Vista should find them and want to install drivers. I had to do that with my Logitech wireless mouse/keyboard. Now, it works like a charm! -- Dustin Harper dharper@vistarip.com http://www.vistarip.com -- "jconnor504" <jconnor504@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:F7E302D9-0F9A-4AF0-8E0B-7C0CB14D13F5@microsoft.com... > when i upgraded to vista home premium from xp, i also installed my > kensington > wireless keyboard and mouse, after the install it asked me to reboot, i > did > and ever since I have no keyboard or mouse function. | | Re: Keyboard and mouse does not work. Do as Justin suggested.. also go into system BIOS and enable legacy USB support for keyboard, mouse and anything else.. that way, your system will recognize the wireless adapter before Windows starts.. I cannot help because I also bought the kensington wireless keyboard and mouse... went to their website to DL newest drivers after reading on there that the keyboard worked in Vista; installed and reset and boom... no mouse or keyboard control. Turned off PC, unplugged "bad" mouse and keyboard, put in old (working) USB mouse and PS/2 keyboard, loaded windows... and still not working. Tried again with a different USB keyboard, mouse... tried with a PS/2 mouse and keyboard. I can use keyboard to get into BIOS, and prior to Vista loading I can get myself into safe mode... but no mouse or keyboard. However, despite not being able to fix it myself, I think the thing that would fix it would be to insert your Vista CD (or DVD) and boat from the CD and then restore your system (if your version supports that)... for myself, I need to learn not to leave my CD/key 300 miles away (doh!) so I'll have to wait to test out that theory... If anyone wants to down load and install the kensington drivers, thus breaking their box, and try test out my theory; that would be great=) Oh, I'm on my laptop with XP (which is less pretty, but at least works=( |
