Hard-Drive Activity

Dear people,

I've been having some trouble with my Windows Vista. Everything works well
with it except one thing truly disturbs me. Let's say I leave my computer
without any program active. (My virusscanner only scans when I tell it too)
and there are no other background scanners working. When I leave my computer
at Idle my hard-drive keeps on processing things of which I have no clue what
they are. Does anyone maybe have a solution for this ?

Maybe it's handy to know that I do use 2 hard-drives. So maybe it's indexing
? cause they are 160 Gigs and 250 Gigs big.

Thank you kindly,

Bryan

Re: Hard-Drive Activity

Yes, it is indexing. It only does it when the PC is idle. Once it is done,
the HD activity slows down.

Could also be defragmenting.

Hi Bryan,

I have noticed this also I have 1 x 200 Gig drive and 2 x 250 Gig drives.

I have switched off indexing and the activity has stopped.
