The link for that particular USB gets you a Win98 driver. Is that what
Vista needs here???

Are the USB ports working correctly with all your other USB devices?

Re: Usb memory stcik dosent work on Windows vista home premium 64b

it might be because the usb key storage is not a verified microsoft device
and Vista block all non microsft checked device. Also , if you have McAfee
,which is also non compatible with Vista, McAfee will block the driver update
as a potential harmfull threat coming from an outside website. The best if
it's cause by McAfee, it's to uninstall it as Vista is self protected and got
a efficient windows defender who doesn't have issue with any update.

I've seen several posts about the same problem, so I decided to see what
drivers my DataTraveler uses. Turns out to be the same two drivers that
my hard drives use: disk.sys and partmgr.sys. These both live in the
windows\system32\drivers directory. (Do you have a system64 directory
on your machine?)

So far I haven't needed to install new drivers in Vista, so I'm not sure
how it works. Does the error message offer you any way of pointing to
the drivers you want to use?

Have you tried any other USB sticks in that machine?
