Vista - HP 9800 Printer Driver Problems

Hi all,

I checked HPs website and apparently the 9800 driver comes included with
Vista (I have Ultimate). I have a need to manually install it for use with a
DJ9670 but when I've come to do it using the Add Printer wizard, the list of
available printers is completely empty! If I click on the Windows Update
button I get a new list but not a single one is listed for HP!

Does anyone know where my original list has gone? And more importantly, how
do I get it back again?

Have same problem.
Check my post 25-02-2007 this new group, "Missing Drivers"
I still have not got it to work, but did get a little closer
My printer was HP 940c
I think what happens, Vista looks for driver on the computer, when it can't
find any due to wrong path, Vista then go to Microsoft Update, and here
while it find driver, seems the HP ones are missing.

Thanks Peter, I looked at the other thread but still couldn't seem to get
anything to work.

What a pain in the neck!!
