| | Turtlebeach Montegro DDL SPIDIF Having problems getting the card back into 5.1 mode after a bad AutoUpdate driver install (Wrong driver). Unable to get the Montegro DDL control panel to start since Vista Upgrad from XPpro ("Could not find DDL device"). Audio settings allow 6.1to be set , but the Optical (SPDIF) only shows 2.1 on the reciever mode display (and the 6.1 test sounds all come from the front speakers only (at different levels for rear test tones)). No Vista specific driver at Turtlebeach. |

| | RE: Turtlebeach Montegro DDL SPIDIF Was the card working properly before you upgraded the driver? If so, try a driver rollback. Instructions are repeated on the forum numerous times for accomplishing this. Hope it works. Otherwise you'll have to wait for Turtlbeach to support their card properly. | | RE: Turtlebeach Montegro DDL SPIDIF Yes it was working. Properly, probabbly no. I always had to open the DDL control application (then I could just close it, doing nothing else) to get it to ANY output via the SPIDIF . Vista seems to use the port fine until the wrong driver. I/Vista messed up the roll-back. :/ I am going to try another XP->Vista upgrade on this system with a few non supported network components removed FIRST. Thanks "Mark D.
