Vista - HP ScanJet 3770

I couiln't find drivers for this scanner, but today Windows Update Center
said that driver fir that scanner is available. I told to install that
update, but there appeared an error with code 80070103.

Try this.
When the update fails, don't close your WU window.
Navigate to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download and check if you have a
install or installed folder there. If you do, you should see som igfx or igx
files there. If you do, this is your newly downloaded driver that failed to
install.
Then navigate to Device Manager and find your display adapter.
Right click and choose update driver...
Then click Browse my comuter...
Then Let me pick from a list of....
Then click Have disk.. and navigate to the folder mentioned above.
You should see one file in this folder (igfx or something like that) and
then as you click OK, the driver should be visible to choose.
Install it. The installation may take some time, and you need to reboot your
computer.

Found a driver and installed it. But scanning software from HP cannot be
installed, so i installed VueScan. But it sais, that it found my printer,
but no driver installed, and asked to downloas driver from www.hp.com. And
at the website there still no drivers for vista...

Try downloading from HP Deskscan 2.9 and installing that.

No guranteee that it will work with your scanner but I'm using it with
my old HP SJ5P under VISTA and it's working fine, scanning from the HP
Scanning and Copying utilities. But you can't use the VISTA Scan and
FAX.

If clicking on tht URL does not work for you, copy the two bits into
the address box of your browser so that they join up and use (GO) or if
all else fails go to the first HP Support Page and put Deskscan 2.9 in
the Search Box at the top.
