I to am having this issue. The file that the pagefault points to is
srescan.sys. Has anyone else had this issue?

Srescan.sys appears to belong to ZoneAlarm. Since ZA is not Vista compliant, I
would assume that it's your problem.

Re: Windows Vista error - blue screen Page Fault in Non Paged Area

Thanks, but I don't have ZA.

Could be some of the programs that aren't compliant with vista ?

I make diagnostic memory test and it was ok.

RE: Windows Vista error - blue screen Page Fault in Non Paged Area

I have been having the exact same message, and have had my new laptop crash 4
times with this message. I would like to know what it is that is causing
this. I haven't installed many things, how do I know which are compliant and
which are not? And is it possible to "upgrade" to xp or would I have to buy
an entire version of xp to install it over vista?

Re: Windows Vista error - blue screen Page Fault in Non Paged Area

A page fault means that an application or driver is tryng to execute an
instruction in a read or write only data area, it has nothng to do with
programs being swapped out to a paging file.
You might try System File Restore in case one of your Program files got
corrupted,
But most likely you are trying to run an application that has not been
checked out for Vista and most likely it is a driver that is designed for XP
and not updated for Vista.

Re: Windows Vista error - blue screen Page Fault in Non Paged Area

I get that error message too. A friend of mine told me to do clean my
hard drive, and so far, the errors haven't popped up as much. It's every
few weeks now.
