| Guest | Re: Low sound from speakers and no windows sound on new vista Hi Karen, Sounds like you need to install a sound card driver from the manufacturer of the system or of the sound card. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org "Karen" <Karen@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:22635E2E-21E9-4668-8C9C-79A39C4F91AC@microsoft.com... >I plugged my speakers in and have really low sound for cd and no windows > sound. If you go to Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Sound -> Speakers -> Properties -> Levels. There are some more volume controls there for specific types of content. There's also the application mixer. Which you can get to by clicking the volume icon and going to Mixer, there will be a slider for Windows Sounds too. -- Paul Smith, Yeovil, UK.
