    wireless unable to connect

this maybe a question for you or for netgear, but I have wpnt834 rangemax
wireless router which is set with wpa security, i have a laptop installed
with Vista beta and although i can connect to other 3com wireless routers i
seem unable to connect to the netgear. the laptop can see the netgear but it
is never able to create a connection and doesn't really tell me why. The
only difference i can see is that the netgera is wpa and the 3com is wep.

    Any suggestions

If you turn off the wpa does it work?

Ok when i turn all security off it will connect and get an Ip address but,
when i connect to a £com which is WEP secured it is Ok when i turn WEP or WPA
on on the Netgear AP and try to connect it says on the connection window

'The capability of your network adaptor does not match the requirements of
    the network.

any suggestions or is it a hardware incompatibility?
