AMD Dual Core Optimizer Needed in Vista (32 bit)?

Under Vista (Ultimate, 32 bit), do I need to install the AMD dual core
optimizer for my AMD dual core proc(x2, 3800+, Toledo)?

The AMD Dual Core Optimizer can be found here:
http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/..._13118,00.html

Thanks!

Re: AMD Dual Core Optimizer Needed in Vista (32 bit)?

You may want to look at the AMD forums section and do a search on AMD
Dual-Core Optimizer to read what others are having difficulties with - or
not. It appears that the optimizer has some issues with specific
applications. I've been running it on my system with no noticeable problems
(on WinXP).

If you're a gamer - you may notice a difference but what will be the
trade-offs?

Re: AMD Dual Core Optimizer Needed in Vista (32 bit)?

So under Vista, do I need the optimizer or not???
In your post, you clearly suggest that you do NOT have the experience of
this optimizer in Vista, and yet my question is SPECIFICALLY about whether
the optimizer is needed under Vista!!!!

Insofar as I should have searched before I had posted, that is a cliche from
my enemies! I am a moron; I don't know how to do searches!

I like answers that are real answers!

Might want to do something to help yourself then, and learn how to search.

I havent installed it and games are working fine with Vista 32-bit,
Quake 4 and so on. So you probably wont need it in Vista
