Will Realtek AC'97 Audio Vista driver end up in Windows Update?hel

The only Realtek AC'97 Audio driver I'm receiving in Windows Update is
version 5.10.0.5730 created in 2005 made for XP but it work in Vista but i
think a vista driver would be nice. I downloaded AC'97 Audio Vista driver in
realtek website but the driver is not even signed and would also not install
correctly.

Will Realtek AC'97 Audio Vista driver ever show up in Windows Update?

Re: Will Realtek AC'97 Audio Vista driver end up in Windows Update?hel

Thanks, but the Nov 2006 and newer AC97 driver on the Realtek website still
only provide partial audio functionality with Vista64 compared to XP. When
will we get AC97 support for Dolby or DTS 5.1 sound out via SPDIF, any idea?
I get the impression there is a similar problem with Creative cards and
Vista64 too?

Does any soundcard provide support for Dolby or DTS 5.1 sound out via SPDIF
with Vista64 ??

Re: Will Realtek AC'97 Audio Vista driver end up in Windows Update

And of course you complained really loudly to Realtek about that because
after all they are the drivers manufacturer..........................
