Realtek HD Audio digital & analog outputs

System is Abit KN9 SLI mobo with Realtek ALC883 sound on Vista Ultimate.
I cannot use digital & audio outputs at the same time. Previously, in MCE
2005 ,I could do this. I have been in touch with Realtek and they have
replied "Vista did not define this function for HD Audio System "
What is the comment on this as it is a bit of a pain as I use twin monitors
in two separate rooms
