Vista - Windows Update driver download & installation issues...

Having problems with trying to get the Intel 2200BG Mini PCI Card driver
update via the update site (issue date: 14/06/2006). Need this driver update
as without it no encryption can be used through the device. Intel has the
full driver and update, but will not release it direct to the Vista
community. Anybody got any ideas on how to get this update via Microsoft
direct?

Where did you get your information about this
"critical" update? And, if it's an Intel
software update, why would Microsoft Windows
Update have it? Wouldn't Intel have it?

Rick,

This update was first incorporated into Vista Beta 1, but this driver will
not allow any form of wireless encryption. Therefore, Intel released to
Microsoft, another updated copy of the 2200BG driver. This was made for
general release to Vista 2 Beat Testers on the 14th June 2006. However, when
trying to download and install the updated device driver using the "Windows
Update" application within Vista Beta 2 [<Start -> Windows Update>] the
update application reports errors (80070103 & 8024AFFF).

Intel have constructed the updated driver and issued to Microsoft, but this
update from Intel is not for general circulation via the Intel Support Site
"http://support.intell.com", and I therefore cannot find another way of
downloading this update seperately and outside of both Microsoft Update and
the Intel Support Site directly.

I Have the same problema when i try to update graphics card (optional) NVIDIA
DRIVER UPDATE for NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4200 05-08-2006 by "windows update"
gives me the same error.

I got the a similar error 80070103 messge when trying to install NVIDIA
driver for GeForce 6600 GT via the Windows update.

Getting the exact same error code (80070103) attempting to install an update
for the Audio on my Thinkpad T43. Audio currently non-functional in RTM
Vista Ultimate.

Same error code and can't update realtek rtl8187 wireless 802.11g

I have the same error code when trying to install,
"NVIDIA Corporation driver update for NVIDIA nForce(tm) RAID Class Device".
