| | Setting up 'Sound' devices in Vista Dear Group, I've seen a number of posting around this subject but none that seem to address this very issue. Is it possible to enable more than one device (ie it shows as "working" rather than "currently unavailable") in one of the tabs of the Sound Devices config window? If not, it's something of a problem methinks! Looking forward to a solution! Richard Abrahams |

Under 'Recodring Devices' I have 'Microphone', 'Rear Mic' and 'Line In' listed. The only way to get one of these devices listed as 'Working' is to (a) set it to default and then (b) change the setting in 'Levels' (from anything to anything)! The next problem is that when the machine is next started the device listed as 'Working' may have changed! Any ideas welcome. Richard |

| | Re: Setting up 'Sound' devices in Vista Seems like a Sigma Tel driver problem. Have you been to Sigma Tel or your computer manufacturer for an updated driver? Does Sigma Tel have a Program Group under Start > All Programs where you can adjust settings? Sorry, I have Creative and Realtek and am not familiar with Sigma Tel. -- I Bleed Blue and Gold GO BEARS! <richard.abrahams@virgin.net> wrote in message news:1180897813.613463.165100@h2g2000hsg.googlegroups.com... > On 3 Jun, 18:04, "Cal Bear '66" <x...@xxx.org> wrote: >> What is your audio adapter?
