| Guest | Vista Update Causing Split-Screen Problem I have recently bought a PC that came with Vista Ultimate. I am using a Siemens-Fujitsu LCD monitor (Scenic P19-2) and every time I receive a Windows update it causes the monitor to malfunction. After the update I get a split-screen effect, where the display information is squeezed into the top 70% of the screen. Below that I get a horizontal black bar and the content begins to repeat itself. The only way to get the monitor to function normally is to reset Vista to its last known good configuration. I have checked with Siemens-Fujitsu and they have informed me that I have the correct driver and that the problem is with either Vista or the Graphics card. If Vista is causing this problem, does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can remedy the situation? |

| Guest | Re: Vista Update Causing Split-Screen Problem Is the driver you are trying to install the latest from the Graphics card manufacturers Website or one from WinUpdate? WinUpdate often has out of date graphics or tuner card drivers.
