| | Vista - Logitech Wheel Mouse Double-Click |

| | Logitech Wheel Mouse Double-Click How do I get Vista to see my simple Logitech optical wheel mouse click using the wheel? Being able to set the wheel click to a double click is VERY useful, and the Microsoft driver does not appear to even know about a wheel click. I downloaded the Logitec site mouse driver and installed it, but Vista seems to be paranoid about letting me change drivers - so paranoid, I can't even figure out how. I'm pretty good with XP, but this Vista is a new beast.. Thanks |

| | RE: Logitech Wheel Mouse Double-Click Lloyd, Hardware not functioning properly is almost always caused by driver problems. Most likely there is something incompatible between the Logitech mouse and Vista. When you try to install a driver, it must be Vista compatible, or Vista may not allow it to be installed. The easiest solution is to buy a Microsoft mouse until compatibility issues become resolved. I'm not using a Microsoft mouse (off brand), but even so Device Manager identifies it as a Microsoft mouse. When you buy a mouse, make sure it is Vista compatible, but even then it may have issues because vendors are having problems getting their hardware to be compatible. -- freddy "Lloyd" wrote: > How do I get Vista to see my simple Logitech optical wheel mouse click using > the wheel? | | RE: Logitech Wheel Mouse Double-Click The secret is: Logitech has not provided a driver yet, and Microsoft does not support the wheel click even though they know it's a logitec wheel mouse - too bad.. It is very handy. |
