| | Vista Beta 2 - Audio / Sound Drivers - Universal Audio Architectur Installed Vista Beta 2 with no problems, it dual-boots alongside XP Media Center on my new HP Pavillion a1410n. All the hardware worked immediately after the install without having to install any drivers, except for the sound. There are no flags in Device Manager, however the audio icon in the taskbar says that there is no audio device installed. I attempted to install the XP drivers from HP, but the install fails, telling me that I need the Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture Driver to be installed first. Any help is appreciated. |

| | RE: Vista Beta 2 - Audio / Sound Drivers - Universal Audio Architectur Well for all of those that are just as frustrated as I was here is a bit of relief. I spent 6 hours trying to fight this system and as all great discoveries this just came as if from heaven. I am using an an HP Pavillion and decided to install an Audigy 2 Value soundcard. At first after finishing my installation of Vista 64 it notified me that there was no driver for my sound card. I ran the Vista 64 and it did not complete saying that my software was not supported by it. After a while I diecided to see if I coul reinstall the XP 64 driver and all went great with the exeption that there was no sound coming out of it in spite of the device driver saying that all laws wll. Frustrated I decided to re-install the Vista 64 driver and after two attempts voila!! Sound was coming out of it as if by a miracle. …old windows theme I must warn you! The sound is of good quality. But there is only one thing and that is my microphone is not working right. I want to take advantage of the speech recognition software built in. It worked for me before I hope they have not messed with it too much I hope that this helps some people out there. Now if I could figure out how to import my Outlook contacts, the import feature is not working for me. | | RE: Vista Beta 2 - Audio / Sound Drivers - Universal Audio Archite Are you using on board audio? Then you need to go and download the realtek drivers and that should help "Dan" wrote: > I have an HP Pavilion zv6107wm laptop same thing here no audio.
