Sony MPEG / Gigapocket Drivers VGC-RA840G desktop

I did an in place upgrade from XP MCE ( sony version ) to Vista ultimate.
TV and sound worked just fine. I decided to do a fresh install of Vista
Ultimate and the TV and sound is now dead. Same machine. No combo of Sony
drivers seems to get it going. I have the Realtak and SOny driver version
numbers but they no longer seem to be available.

Appreciate any thoughts and advice.

As to the Realtek drivers, you should install the latest drivers (ver. 1.70)
from here:

Re: Sony MPEG / Gigapocket Drivers VGC-RA840G desktop

Thank You.

I installed it and it worled great. My next plan of attack was to go back
to the original drivers for the machione form '04 and '05. I removed
everything from Sony that I had installed and the Realtek driver and
installed to old XP drivers and they worked great ! TV and SOund as always.

As an aside I called Sony and for only $ 29.95 they would answer the same
question. I reminded the fella on the line that I was sitting here at a
Sony desktop and I could see 3 Sony laptops and two cameras and a monitor
from my seat. Those purchases were all based on Sony answering questions...

Thanks Again !
