| | RE: freeing cached memory marius.r, You likely need more RAM. Vista runs pretty good with a minimum of 2 GB of RAM. To see how much RAM you have installed, right click Computer (formerly My Computer) and select Properties. In the window that opens, you can see how much RAM you have installed. To upgrade RAM, install only the same type RAM that is already installed in your computer. -- freddy "marius.r" wrote: > hi. anybody knows how to free cached memory? i read that when you open new > program sufficient space in ram is cleared for it. but when i wanted to > publish 3min movie in windows movie maker, aplication crashes when free > physical memory goes down to zero when i looked in task manager.always.what > should i do? |

| | Re: freeing cached memory Cached memory is freed but not all memory is cached. If there is not enough memory available for those files or programs that can not be cached then space is normally made available by writing these files to virtual memory. So make sure you have at least as much memory allocated for virtual memory as you have main memory.
