| | Mouse studdering I have just installed the 32 bit ultimate edition of vista, and at random times (sometimes even within 10 seconds of the last episode) my mouse stops responding. If I hit any key on my keyboard, or wait about 30 seconds, it starts responding again though, but usually only briefly. Its just extremely annoying to have to reach down every 15 seconds because my mouse stops responding. Iv tried dling new drivers for my mouse, uninstalling and reinstalling, and even tried a totally different mouse, but the problem persists, anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? I have a geforce 7800 gfx card 1 gig ram pentium D 3.40 ghz processor |

| | RE: Mouse studdering Nick, It's hard to say exactly what the problem is. Here is a Microsoft mouse troubleshooting guide: http://support.microsoft.com/ph/9995 I don't know what kind of mouse you have, but that guide may provide some insight in how to go about resolving the problem you have. Perhaps the mouse you are using is incompatible with Vista in some strange and hard to fix manner. Sometimes fixing these issues takes time. If you're not using a Microsoft mouse, try a Microsoft mouse to see whether that's the problem. Just a shot in the dark. If you can't correct this issue, consider contacting the official Microsoft support, which may have some ideas. This site is a user's group, comprised of users helping each other. Though there are experts that provide information here, the official Microsoft support may have a different approach. However, to obtain such support, you should be using a Microsoft product. If not a Microsoft product, try contacting the support of the Manufacturer of your mouse. -- freddy "Nick" wrote: > I have just installed the 32 bit ultimate edition of vista, and at random > times (sometimes even within 10 seconds of the last episode) my mouse stops > responding. > If I hit any key on my keyboard, or wait about 30 seconds, it starts > responding again though, but usually only briefly.
