Vista USB mass storage device

We just bought a new Acer E380 with Vista Home Premium. When we click to
safely remove a SanDisk Cruzer the devise contiues to be lit as if it is
still in service. We also have XP on an HP that turns the in use light off,
and makes it obvious the unit is safe to remove, we used the same Cruzers, 3
of them in each case and tried both front and rear USB ports. Is there
something wrong with Vista?

Yes, let the light on is a new feature of Vista, probably
part of the 'Wow effect', as 'Wow, it's save to remove
while the light is still on'.
