Device Manager

I have window Vista on an HP computer
Device Manager does not display my printers.
Device Manger did display them until I installed a bluetooth program, when
thay disappeared. I uninstall the bluetooth program, but the printer still
are not displayed.
I have to update one of my printer drivers, but I can fine it in device manger
How do I get the printers to showup in device manager again?

Re: Device Manager

James,

In Device Manager, printers are displayed under View > Show hidden devices,
if the printers are installed. The Device Manager standard view does not
display printers. Manage printers from Control Panel > Printers, as the
previous poster indicated.

Re: Device Manager

James,

In Device Manager, I don't know why printers don't display under View > Show
hidden devices. Do printers show up in Control Panel > Printers? If they do,
and they are working properly, then I see no reason to be concerned. Maybe
someone else has an explanation. I don't.

Re: Device Manager

You're welcome.

You should really do all your printer management with Control Panel > Printers.
I don't think there is much you can do in Device Manager.

Alternately you can run the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties and select
Customize, then scroll down to Printers and tick it. Now it will behave as
it did iin Windows XP with a Printers group on your Start Menu.
