Vista - Aero on GeForce Go 7600

Hi,

When I got my laptop Aero was enabled by default. But because its's very
slow and sluggish I decided to turn it off. Now when I go to enable it it's
not there. I have updated my video drivers before. Also my GFX card is nVidia
GeForce GO 7600 256MB.
I think this software might be stopping it but I dont know:
TWEAKVI.

All help is appreciated

Are you saying its not there when you go to display properties or when you
go to change your display profile?

When you go to Window Color and Appearance, click on "Open classic
appearance properties for more color options". Is Windows Aero available as
a choice? If so, select that (Apply, OK).

Go to Control Panel/Personalize/Themes and Make sure Windows Vista is
selected and not Windows Classic. Then in color appearance you should also
be able to select Aero.

Nope, it's not there, I have also tried selecting Windows Vista but that does
not help.

Try going to Control Panel (Classic View) > Performance Information and
Tools, and click on "Update My Score".

For Aero and Desktop Performance I get 4.8.

Just to clarify, did you click on the "Update My Score" link in Control
Panel (Classic View) > Performance Information and
Tools? It's on the right-hand side of the page, beneath the big "Base
Score" 4.8 picture. (I don't need to know your score so much, but rather
whether or not you clicked on that link). If you updated your score by
clicking on that link, going back to Control Panel>Personalization > Window
Color and Appearance, are the Aero options available? Did you retry the
suggestions noted in the previous posts as to turning on Aero, after
updating your score?

Too, in Control Panel > Personalization > Display Settings, is your color
set to Highest (32-bit)?

I did that and it still never came up. My GFX is on 32BIT
