| | Re: Nvidia and bsod 0x00000124 I have a feeling (not backed up by evidence) that it might be a memo> I removed a lot of stuff from startup that was running all the time and the problem has lessened but not disappeared. I am going to upgrade the memory to see if it makes a difference. Are there any simple analysis tools that can read the crash dump and tell you what program was running when it crashed ? > > The info you have, appears to be correct, check out link below may give > an > insight of the problem: > > http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/com...newsgroups/en- > us/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.windows.vista.hardware_devices&tid= > 72937ace-b642-4f20-8136-d42616a95100&lang=en&cr=US&p=1&mid=72937ace- > b642-4f20-8136-d42616a95100 > -- > Regards > Bob J > If advise given from anyone, solves problem or not, or if solved from > another source, post back & let us know. > Then we all benefit. > > > > "Ian Semmel" wrote: > > > Since installing a GeForce 7300GS card I have been experiencing the > > above. > > > > > > > > Google reports lots of people with the problem but no solutions. > > > > > > > > System is AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ 1Gb > > > > > > > > Have installed latest Vista driver. > > > > > > > > Anyone any clues ? > > > > > > > > |

I have a DFI SLI DR Expert and an 8800GTS. For me, I had to do a good CMOS reset. Until I did this I couldn't even boot my computer, even at laxxed settings. Do the following... turn off computer, turn power switch off on the back of your power supply, jump the cmos jumper, wait 10 minutes, push the power button a few times with the computer still off and the power supply off, move the cmos jumper back, push power button a few more times, THEN turn power supply switch back on, wait 10 minutes, then power on system, go into bios and load defaults, then try to boot with defaults loaded. That may do it for you. > |
