RE: Can't Install My Printer HELPPPPPP!

I think I agree with KR's assessment of HP. I've been trying to install an
OfficeJet 4215 a-i-1 using freshly downloaded (and incredibly bloated)
Vista-acceptable software from the HP site and it keeps quitting when Vista
can't recognize the *.inf driver from HP. Unfortunately, I'm also
experiencing having that problem trying to install a Canon Canoscan Lide 20,
so HP isn't alone here. If these products aren't compatible with Vista, I
wish someone would just come out and say that, instead of wasting a lot of my
time trying to get them to work.

Re: Can't Install My Printer HELPPPPPP!

This is soooo embarrassing .!!…I HAD my printer working just fine .. I was
straightening out all my cords etc.. UNPLUGED my printer and now it has a
green check mark and says “offline* when I try to print.. I know it’s
something very simple I am missing to correct this…But I can’t figure it
out!.. I PROMISE I won’t bother you all again with my ignorance!

Possible HotFix

Hi,

Try installing the following HotFix:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932206

available at:
http://thehotfixshare.net/board/inde...ds&showfile=95

Note: I had the 0x00000003 error while trying to install Lexmark Z32 and after installing the HotFix (actually all the HotFixes available), I was able to install the drivers.

Good luck,

Pascal...
