| Guest | Re: Very strange sound prob Did you always have this problem or did it just start recently, I ask because I installed a windows update from Realtek and lost audio just yesterday so I went into device manager and rolled back to the previous driver and now all is good. I think the problem is that I have SoundMAX onboard but windows updated with RealTek drivers and if you have windows automatically update this may have happened to you. Have vista home premium edition 32 bit. Realtek HD Audio. Everything is listed as in working order the volume has been turned up full blast yet there is no sound in Media Center, Player or even Windows Sounds. Speakers are plugged in correctly and everything tested and presumably in working order. Anyone else have a suggestion ? Thanks |

| Guest | Re: Very strange sound prob All speaker options show that everything is turned on & working, also there are no red circles or yellow exclamation points in sound, video & game controllers. Even though I get no sound from any windows based sounds, when I play the test that is in speaker setup it plays no probs at all. -- Rob "Cal Bear '66" wrote: > There is no red X on the Speaker icon in the Notification Area of the Taskbar? > > In Control Panel (Classic view) > Device Manager > (expand Sound, video and game > controllers), there are no red circles or yellow exclamation points? > > -- > I Bleed Blue and Gold > GO BEARS! > > > > I to have the same problem.
