| | Hibernating Hi, Asus P5V800-MX, 1GB ram, nVidia FX5900 XT, Pentium D 3.0 when hibernating computer does not switch off but re-starts instandly, can manually switch off before re-booting starts, any pointers to get Vista Premium to switch off when hibernating? TIA, Herman |

If that fails, go back and enable the stuff you want to wake it (I use keyb and mouse), disable the onboard NIC, and install a supported PCI NIC. Reboot, get the NIC's driver installed, and try sleep again. That's a start and worked for me on a stubborn 965P board. |
