| | Boot Problem With USB I have a unsual boot problem which I have seen with someone here aswell but doesnt work for me (Doh!). Whenever I leave my USB mouse in (Razer Copperhead) my system refuses to boot! It starts fine but just cmpletey stops but if i take it out, it goes like a rocket. I have no idea why it does it and as you can guess its not that much of a problem, but a serious pain with keep banging it in and out all day and worried of either causing problems with my ports or the wires of my mouse. With XP it was fine and ive got the usual latest drivers and what not and have tried swapping it over but it just wont have it! I have gone to the bios settings/Vista control panel but nothing works. I have seen a problem with this happening in XP and the solution was to edit your registry with a step-by-step guide but unfortunately wont work because it starts telling you to do different reg edits that arent in Vista. Any advice I would love as this is beginning to do my nut in! Cheers! |

| | Re: Boot Problem With USB Tried the LEGACY USB option, still a no go. 99% sure its no a USB problem, as I dont have any problem with my USB keyboard, flash memory and a USB floppy drive. Ive tried other mic aswell and they work fine, a box standerd Belkin optical and also a logitech opitcal mouse. Its just my Razer Copperhead! I know it isn't the drivers because it wouldnt boot as soon as I installed Vista Home Premium when the drivers wasnt on there. im dont it will help but I will put my sys specs on: Intel Quard Core CPU 2.66 Kentsfield Corsair DDR2 2GB XMS2 DOMINATOR PC2-8888C4 TWINX(2X1GB) Asus P5N32-E SLI Motherboard 2x Gainward 8800GTX Bliss GPU Razer Barracuda AC-1 Soundcard 2x 500Gb Seagate Hard drives Razer Barracuda HP-1 Headphones Razer Barracuda Copperhead Gaming Mouse Vista Home Premium Everything has got the latest drivers. Cheers for the help.
