No fix but I can relate my experience with mouse freezes in Vista. I had
my Logitech MX518 connected via the PS2 adapter on a PS2 KVM. I would get
a random mouse freeze when booting into Vista. The only true fix for me
was to remove the mouse from the KVM and use it on a USB connection. One
thing that lessened the freezes was diabling Aero and using the classic
desktop. My only real suggestion is to get on Microsofts ass about this as
plenty of people have issues with mouse freezes in Vista. And to think we
paid good money for an OS that can't even support mice properly.

Re: Maddening mouse freeze in vista

Did you see if there's a BIOS update for your motherboard? My approach is to
eliminate that which is easiest and that's usually hardware causes for
problems. Once I know the hardware is exactly as it should be and completely
up to Vista requirements, I go would go after Vista itself.
