Vista - LifeCam software v6.2.0029.0 does not work with Vista

LifeCam software (LifeCam1_3VX.exe) v6.2.0029.0 does not work with
Windows Vista Ultimate (32bit).

LifeCam.exe has stopped working.

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will
close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

The software is 120MB download (which seems excessive to me), so I
would recommend that people use caution downloading this "vista
compatible" software. It may, or may not fix your problem. It did not
fix mine. I've tried uninstalling everything, and reloading fresh with
reboots inbetween everything.

I have NEVER - EVER - EVER had the software working on Vista. It
simply does not work, and quits almost immediately with the error
above.

I have same version and it works fine here with Ultimate (32bit ).

microsoft lifecam does have a problem running on vista. when i first got mine
it was working fine but after a week or so i started getting the same error
as peter, i've been told that the software doesnt work because of nero burner

update has been provided. The product which was advertised as working
with Vista, is not fit for the purpose in which it was sold. It does
not work with Vista out of the box - or even with the rather large
update from Microsoft.
