| | External HD..No Drive letter Vista Home Premium Asus P5B-VM Intel Core 2 Duo System works fine. Just got a Simple Touch ADS external HD Kit (USB 2.0). Installed a WD 250 Gig HD into the external kit. Set the pin to "Single or Master" as per Simple Touch instructions. Turned all equipment on. Everything works fine. Got all sorts of messages saying everything is OK. Device Manager shows "This device is working properly". Device Manager shows Driver is Microsoft 6.0.6000.16386. I made sure I have the latest driver. PROBLEM...Nowhere is there a drive letter designation. I simply cant access the device. HELP. FRED |
