Vista - WMDC error when syncing PocketPC

Hi. Any help for a computer illiterate [me] would be truly appreciated. I
have been syncing my Audiovox XV6600 pocketPC with my laptop running Vista
Home Premium. It has worked correctly for almost 6 months. Approximately two
weeks ago, they stopped syncing. I get an error message stating "An unhandled
exception has occured in your application" "Retrieving the COM class
factory for component with CLSID {89108EE5-18DA-11DB-9617-00EE08161165F}
failed due to the following error: 80040154. When I expand the details, the
text below is listed. If anyone knows what has caused this problem, and how I
can easily correct it, PLEASE post the info. I would appeciate it
