Downloaded latest Norton Internet Security edition, as I has pre Vista NIS
2007 installed originally. Now, when I boot up, I get a message saying Intel
Alert Service stopped working.

Can anyone help?

hi, iv`e had this issue many times,if you have viiv 1.6 or 1.7 just go into
program features(add / remove programs) click on intel viiv software and then
click on repair (up at the top of listings).this fixes it.
