Vista - nVidia Geforce 6600 GT

When I install the latest vista 64 driver for this off the nvidia site, I can
no longer select 32bit colour at 1024x768. When I click on 32, it changes the
resolution to 900x something, and when I set the resolution to 1024, it
changes the colour to 16bit... Anyone else have this problem?

I encountered the same thing with a FX 5500 in
Vista x64. I tried to provide feedback to
nVidia, but never did find the right place.

I had the same problem. Turned out to be the settings for my monitor.
Changed it from Generic non PNP to the proper LCD (just use the highest
resolution your monitor can support as well as the hightest refresh rate).

After that, everything worked great.

Yep, I got that on GeForce 6600 (passive).
Going to try the monitor fix.
